Itinerary: Roadtrip in the US 2016
I can´t really believe that it´s been a year since I went to New York
for the first time. I visited California the year before, but never had I seen
the Big Apple. I really enjoyed my stay, and soon I will be there again.
In this post I will give you a brief on what this trip really is about.
It´s filled with places I don´t know that much about,
but so far our schedule looks something like this:
Day
1: 31st of May
Flight from Oslo, Gardermoen at 18.15 PM, four hours after my last exam.
It takes approximately 8 hours from Oslo to New York, so keep those legs in
action and bring our sleeping mask and a good book.
Arrived in New York, we´ll check in at Hotel 31 at Manhattan. At this
time it´s almost bedtime, so we´ll probably just get a bit somewhere.

Day
2: 1st of June
New York: Let´s go sightseeing! With a city pass, we will get to see the
best arractions in a short period of time. I guess most of it will be really
crowed, but we have to do a little sighseeing when you come to a new city.
Day
3: 2nd of June
More sighseeing, some
shopping and a lot of eating – if I know myself best.
Day 4: 3rd of June
Last day in New York. We only have time for breakfast, before taking the
bus to Washington D.C. Front row seats and A/C. Barack Obama – here we come!
In Washington we have booked a hotel a little out of the city. Prices in
this city for a family at four, is nothing to laugh of. The pricerange a little
further out is much better, with good connections to the city with buss or car.

5-6: 4th of June – 5th of June
Washington – sightseeing, shopping, eating. Just normal days for me.

6: 5th of June
In Washington D.C. we get a rental car and drive all the way from Washington
to New Orleans. Tips and ideas are highly welcome for our roadtrip!

7: 6th of June
Knoxville
Day 8-10: 7th of June – 9th of June
Nashville

10-12: 9th of June – 11th of June
New Orleans:
Done with the roadtrip
trough a lot of states and finally arrived in New Orleans. Unlucky us, Mardi
Gras as already been, but I hope New Orleans has a lot more to offer.

Fort Lauderdale:
Last stop for this trip. Florida and long beaches – here we come! I have
to at least get a little tan before returning to cold Norway for the rest of
the summer.

The last day we will get a flight back home to Oslo, after many days on
the road and many new experiences in my backpack.
