5 things New York taught me

New York has everything a city can offer. Food, drinks, nice people and a lot of different things to do and see. I had so many expectations before I got to New York from movies and something were the same. But a couple of things were different then I imagined. Actually I´ve been thinking about moving to New York for a period just because I loved the city so much. Here comes 5 things I learned in the Big Apple:

1.     New Yorkers don`t stress around

You could name any movie filmed as New York and you would see people stressing around everywhere. That is not the reality. Well yes, some people are in a real hurry, but normal business people never run around like animals. They take their time to get off the subway and they walk slow up the stairs up to the street. Even too slow for two girls who are trying to get to JFK in a real hurry.

2.     New Yorkers don`t talk business in the phone at all times

Same as point 1, I have always had the impression that New Yorkers always talk business either they are at the subway with a big crowd or if they are walking somewhere to get lunch. On the other hand, they do talk business, but they rather to it together with someone else while they are walking to get lunch. I have heard a lot of people talking business in the phone, but I have also seen several people talking big business before going to a cafè.

3.     New Yorkers talk really aggresive without being it

You can heard them. And you hear them good. They are about something that you can`t even hear because they talk to fast and because you are to focused to see their bodylanguage. The fact is that they are not mad -  at least not at each other, propably just mad at the world.

4.     New Yorkers starts crossing the road with a red hand

Even with a red hand, the first thing you do when you get to the road is to get in front of the line, for then to start crossing even tough there are cars approching. Welcome to New York guys!
