Slottsfjell: Norway´s most relaxed festival

Wondering which festival to attend next summer? I got an answer. If you are up for volounteer work for a day in exchange for a free festival pass, this is the place for you!

In advance: it is not allowed with cameras at the festival, so the reason why the pictures are so bad, is because they are taken with my phone. Also, sorry about not taken too many pictures, but I just had fun and enjoyed the feeling there.

The last weekend was spend in Tønsberg, one and a half hour away from Oslo. The first night went down at a local pub called "Gamle Total" or "Old Total" at a party for volunteers. One free drink and nice people set the mood for the weekend. At 10 o´clock the next day, two friends of mine and I went to the festival area to start our workday. We became in charge for the entry and helped visitors with the right direction. It was a fun job and we were a great team. We got to meet a lot of new people, which we later met and join later on at the festival.

After a long shift, our voulunteer work was done and the following days were spend on free disposal. The next morning we got up pretty early to go see Razika, which is one of my friends favourite band. After a great consert, we saw other great performances of Angus and Julia Stone and Aurora. I am going to see Angus and Julia Stone at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal next week too, so stay tuned!

I was really exited about seeing Seinabo Sey and she delivered the whole package! Jeez, what a woman! Her voice is amazing and she made a real good mood among all of us. You could tell that she appreciated being there.

At Saturday, we had a birthday girl among us and of course that was worth celebrating! We had a great start of the day, listening to Fasit, a norwegian startup band. Kristian Kristensen had a great performance with his unique high pitched voice  and we finished the festival singing along to Ellie Goulding. What a night! We had pre-booked tickets to a nightclub with a huge dance floor and two scenes.

Slottsfjell did a great job with the nichtclub, the pay system and the artists. Along that, the leaders of the volunteers did a great job being there in any situation and bringing good spirit to the team.

If you want to see more from the volunteers at the festival, take a look here!
